A superbly comfortable atmosphere and dining experience. The main bar is complimented nicely by the pleasant bartenders and subdued yet invigorated atmosphere. Beyond that, the more intimate dining area boasts the same excellent Spanish art as the rest, and all of this of before one even tastes the light, refreshing sangria. The dishes are very well-balanced, the light drinks an excellent counterpart to them, all around a very good and comfortable experience.

Tapas Restaurant is a great place. I went there for a dinner with my husband and everything was excellent! The food, the drinks, the service and presentation was amazing! They have very friendly employees. The wait staff, bartenders and all. the night we went was a Sunday eve and they had a very talented Flamenco dancer and band performing. Over-all it was a great dining experience. I would definitely recommend trying it out.

Sangria was great. I ate a bunch of different tapas. Some were great and some where just OK. The service was very good. My favorite aspect is the salsa DJ on friday and saturday night. Great little date spot. I'd love to see this place stick around.

Tapas is a fantastic Spanish restaurant that I had the pleasure to visit during dinner time on Friday. I was very Impressed with the ear pleasing sets of music provided by the live band gave Tapas a great vibe. It is "spot on" to spend a great date with a date or family. The environment is decked out with murals that evoke Spain, highlighting flamenco dancers. I had the opportunity to bite into some tapas and I loved it! Especially the tuna tartare, made with avocado, cilantro, lime juice, capers in a teriyaki glaze sauce. Mmmm... such a delicious explosion of flavor to my taste buds.

A few nights ago, my girlfriend and I visited the new Tapas Bar and Restaurant in downtown Staten Island. Both of us really fell in love with the ambiance and the atmosphere of the establishment; we really enjoyed the dim lighting that established a romantic surrounding for our night out. We began with a few tapas, the Spanish equivalent of appetizer sized portions (great for sharing by the way !)We ordered the fried goat cheese, cold tapas, and the tuna tartare. The goat cheese was superb, had a very rich and creamy texture and paired well with the red pepper and basil garnish. Subsequently, the tuna tartare was also a very nice addition to our meal, utterly fresh and mixed well with the avocado and the wine that we ordered. At the same time, the cold tapas appetizer went well with the wine as well (cold tapas are composed of a variety of Spanish cold meats and cheeses). For our main entrees, my girlfriend ordered their special, a Chilean Sea Bass coated with Dijon mustard, pan-seared, finished in the oven, and served over sauteed spinach and a seafood bisque sauce. Definitely worth trying ! As for myself, I ordered the Steak Extremena, essentially a skirt steak garnered with peppers, onions, chorizo, and served with yellow rice and beans. The steak was cooked just the way I like and it was a plentiful portion ! Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Tapas; the service was timely and attentive and the food was fabulous. I know we had wine, but we felt extra spunky that night and had the sangria too ! It was delicious !

Last night my girlfriend and I decided to pay a visit to Staten Island's Tapas Bar on Bay Street. We heard about the exceptionally delicious food offerings, great musical varieties, and their brand new flamenco show (we both love flamenco very much)! I want to start by saying that the flamenco show was everything we expected, the dancer added much flair to the already impressive ambiance. We both enjoyed her vivid performance, as did the whole restaurant, drawing applause and cheers from the whole place. The food was also very delicious, just like we were told by our good friends who have become frequent patrons of Tapas. We ordered a variety of tapas, each one better than the previous. Our favorites were the Tuna Tartare, Chorizo, and Pulpo Ajillo. We both recommend it a lot, and don't forget about the wonderful sangria !!! The best on the island !
