I picked up toe tethers from a free offer on the Tethrco website. Game changer on my kayak and canoe trips. I can now portage my boat in the comfort of my flops without them floating away downstream. This small loop attaches to the flip flop and just chills until I need it. Then it's as easy as popping it over my toe and jumping into the water. Slick easy simple no nonsense and it works. I've gotten 4 pairs since.
