I am going to finish here because I have already started. There are some caring professors, but I don't feel like I will leave with the knowledge I should. The time and care spent on our learning is not enough. Staff has too much on their plates and don't seem focused. On top of it all they are closing the school.

I graduated from here and nothing good came out of it. But, I finished my degree and at least have something to show for it and not just the debt. Most of the teachers are not certified to teach and that's why the school can't get a credited and credits aren't transferable to other school not even community colleges be careful if you come here... know what you want.... there are some good professors and I learned a lot and meet some wonderful people

I am about to graduate with a Web Design & Interactive Media Bachelor's Degree. I love it here. I have watched those that have dropped out primarily due to an unwillingness to adapt. It isn't a perfect college though. There are things I wish could have changed and Yes, it's expensive, but I have gained more than a degree. I have gained friendships, a budding collective network of fellow designers, and a passion to learn further than the school could provide. There are some amazing instructors here that push you to learn. If they find you don't care about your work, they won't either. They spend their efforts on students that strive to do their best. I will definitely share the good works of AI - Minnesota whereever I can, and I am a proud alum!

This school is slowly going down the gutter. I only attended the school for a year and have had nothing but bad experiences. The administration staff are way too pushy with trying to get me into the school. When I went and toured the school with my family, they had already prepared the paperwork and enrollment fees before I even agreed to attend. They pestered me every day with phone calls and emails like they were desperately trying to get me to attend. And once I finally gave in, they had also hyped up their so called "student housing" which isn't so great either. Not only did I have a bad experience within my first year, during my first quarter, the school was laying off a good number of their staff. Staff who actually had been helpful to not only myself, but other students as well. The school got rid of the good ones to only have other professors take over the class and teach it poorly. Remember, this school is a for profit. So they only care about your money, NOT your education. And if you're thinking of transferring in or out, good luck. No other university/college credits will be accepted. Nor will these credits transfer out. Also, being charged 120,000 for a 3 year program to learn how to take pictures is ridiculous. And for a degree on how to "draw/animate", I could learn to do all that for free on my own time and learn at my own pace via Internet. Many of the programs here aren't even worth the money, considering that this specific AI only has half of the degrees available unlike the one in California/New York.

I have been going to AI for the past two and a half years and what I have gotten out of it is nothing like what is described by the other reviews.l can't speak for every program, but as far as the culinary program goes I would say that it is excellent. Most of the teachers DO in fact know a great deal and are amazing sources of information. They are also fantastic connections into the industry and several times have been a source of personal and proffesional wisdom, not to mention a great way to get a job around the cities. And that is on top of the culinary knowledge you receive. The biggest downside is the exhorbanent price tag, but I can tell you having AI, a nationally known school, on your resume is better looking than a community college. Overall, you get out of it what you put in it. If you are going to pay this much for schooling, you need use EVERY resource the school has to offer and not just go through the motions. If you do that, it will be worthwhile. I'm giving this a 2 and not a 3 because I believe the program is great, but recently, order to cut costs, the school laid of several professors, some of which had been close to retirement. In the end, it is a for-profit school, and it is unfortunate to say the least, but AI stand by my statement about the culinary professors as fantastic.

Went there for animation for four quarters. Was visibly a scam after a little while. I was just being hopeful and stupid, having been fresh out of high school, dreaming of a place where I might actually learn stuff. That ain't this place. I actually learned more in high school and in my own spare time than I learned in the classes there. And the classes I took were the least engaging classes I've ever taken. At one point I was asked after receiving bad grades or whatever whether animation was the thing I really wanted to be doing. I took offense to the question because of course I want to do animation. On some days I would be so low that I would cry in public there, which I never do, and apparently nobody cared? Maybe they see that a lot or its just awkward to empathize? Whatever the case, the place was unfeeling and alien and killed my confidence. I've come out worse than when I went in.

AI is a place where dreams go to die. The teachers don't care about their students and get angry when you ask questions. It's expensive and such a major waste of my time. After 3 terms, I'm cutting my loses and getting out with nothing to show for it but 20k debt. Thanks AI.

This school is a total joke. Went there for audio production and they only have one recording studio! The professors did not know what they were talking about AT ALL and it was impossible to even get any studio time. Financial aid was terrible and the program costs 90,000. Almost 100k for one crappy studio and clueless instructors! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE! I transferred to IPR for audio production and it has been the best college decision I could have ever made. Plus there are waaaay more studios and the faculty are real-deal music professionals. Don't waste your time at AI when IPR is WAY better and only a few blocks away.
