After a friend of mine talked to me about this place, I definitely had to come here! Very straight forward... The food is excellent!! pirana is a great guy to be around with, he is very fun and hospitable. In other words, is a unique experience of some sort. Who would have though, that food from a cart would be so much fun. On the other hand, referring to the negative comments: if you are a picky eater, and currently facing a \COVID-19 phobia\ or are accustomed to eating out just at high end restaurants, and if you're a Karen. Please don't come here! it would definitely be a waste of your time. Furthermore, if you are practical like me, patient and like experimenting new things, you will have a great time. I encourage people from all boroughs to come here! excellent service, and great food.
I waited 2 hours and they still didn't have the roast pork done plus the owner was not wearing any gloves and no mask and he was touching the food with his bear hands smoking a cigarette over the food and drinking a beer and shaking Customers hands at that point I couldn't get my self to stay any longer I didn't want to get sick I felt very disappointed .
The best lechon in nyc. La Pirana (as he's referred to) is the gregarious owner/cook and is quick to offer hearty samples of his roast pork and octopus ceviche as soon as you walk in. 18 for a full plate with rice is a great deal considering the quality and quantity. Visit often and don't forget to tip!
