My husband and I almost left (I think we showed up during a shift change) but we're SO glad we didn't! The person we believe is the owner/manager noticed we were stranded and served us two rounds of drinks like magic. This place delivers next-level ambiance with an epic DTLA skyline as a backdrop. We'll be back for those parking lot rockers!

From just looking at the front door, you wouldn't expect that behind the entrance lies a magical place. After leaving behind the city streets of San Francisco, you're transported into a delicious German restaurant laid out in a communal dining hall style. The place offers a large variety of delicious food. Amazing German food, super tasty and very light, if German food can be. The trout was very well made with good flavor, spinach side was perfect. The pork roll was amazing, very nice fat content and great chew and sauce. The potato salad was on point with the cucumber slices. Also their tartar sauce was amazing, it's more sauce than paste like most places.

This Chicago style Bar and grill was ok. Had nice scenery of down town. Food was good. Drinks ok. Although they had a \full bar\ they couldn't make some drinks I ordered. It was a nice time out all and all.

Great service!! Great options in case you're vegan. They offer cashew cheese here! Just keep in mind it doesn't matter how it looks on the outside, it only matters what's inside inside. Because when you look inside it's not that great either but the food and service is phenomenal.

I visited this place twice already - and I love their food and beer. Schnitzel might be a bit on the thicker side, but it's not greasy at all - very crispy outside and meat is tender though. Got an order of beer lemonade drink (forget what it's called), which was also perfect; the right ratio of beer and lemonade (compared to the one in biergarten which was too sweet for me). My gf says it brings back his memories from Germany ;)
