Junior Girl Scout Troop 10174 did a build your own ceramic class. The girls just loved learning about the different things you can make with clay and all the colors that can be used for glazing. The troop had an amazing time at The Good Earth Pots studio.

I had a wonderful time celebrating my 27th birthday with Amy, Penny Lane, and Abbey Road! Amy was very patient with me as I always have coordination issues when learning new things. It was a pleasure getting to see how much work goes into making skilled artwork. I can’t wait to go back! If you are interested in learning and creating ceramics, then this is the perfect place to do so. Everyone we encountered were very friendly and I felt right at home as a beginner and newcomer. P.S. Cut your nails before you go and thank me later!

Amy does a very thorough job instructing. I have been learning to throw pottery, trim, and glaze my own work. I love that I can come in and throw when it works for my schedule and she makes herself available for the personalized instruction that I need. I am very thankful for this opportunity. It is a very relaxed and easygoing atmosphere.

The studio is so unique that it's hard to compare to anything else. Stop in to buy unique gifts created by the artist. Bring in your kids to glaze a pot of their choice. But most special is having one on one instruction in ceramics by a college leveled trained teacher. Throwing ceramics isn't easy but with the right teacher it can be learned and skills can be improved. I've enjoyed learning and improving my skills with Amy by my side. It's incredible to make things by hand! Even without much artistic talent, Amy has been able show how me to make wonderful things. Please come by and take some private instruction at your own time, your own pace and see what you can make. It can be as easy as Play-Do or as fun as the scene from \Ghost\. Come get your hands dirty!
