Parents League is an amazing resource for any NYC family seeking to navigate the right school for their child or children. The advisors are extremely knowledgeable and their events are first rate in terms of value of content and helpful advice.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with the Parents League of New York. We became members and attended an event to learn more about getting our twins into a 2s program. Given all you hear about getting your kids into preschool in NYC we were pretty high strung on the matter. We, and many others attending, asked dozens of questions and the Parents League actually allayed our fears. We left feeling relieved and much more informed than when we arrived. The printed guides and online directory of schools they provide are very useful. We didn't realize it at first, but as time went on and we attempted to do online research of various schools we kept coming back to their printed guides and online directory which held much more relevant info than we were able to find elsewhere. When you start out on this journey you don't know what you don't know. And the fastest and best way to educate yourself on this topic is through the Parents League of New York.

Everyone I spoke to at this organization was extremely condescending and rude. If you don’t have a child that’s kindergarten age, forget about trying to get even basic information out of these people. They make you feel like a moron for trying to do due diligence too early. Everyone I know who got into the best pre-k programs in Manhattan, advises to start the research very early. Except this organization. They make you feel like an idiot for trying to help your kid succeed in life. My question is: how on earth can anyone swift thru hundreds of schools in NYC just a few months before you apply??? My advice is: don’t waste your time and money on these people. Hire a private consultant. They are worth every penny.
