My husband & I don’t agree on anything. We were Both surprised when we both enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.. I can’t wait to go back.. Lou was very helpful & welcoming. The only thing is I need to find a place to hide my leftovers from my kids..

Truly the best kept secret in DFW! Everything is freshly cooked to order. The alligator is well seasoned and tender. The chicken spring rolls melt in your mouth. Between the Seafood Platter & Seafood Trio, you will be in a food coma. The portions are plentiful and lacks (nothing)anything to be desired. Some of the best Bread Pudding out there. Beignets that melt in your mouth. Peach Cobbler with a flaky crust and fresh peaches. If you are from The City, live in DFW, and have not visited this establishment, YOU are doing yourself a disservice. The closest resemblance to Home from the food to ambiance to the interactions. Service was impeccable and truly made the dining experience that much better!

Been here a couple of times. Food is great. Only did to go orders. Had Seafood platter & bread pudding. Prior to that had jambalaya, red beans, catfish. Bread pudding is delicious; fried shrimp was fairly tasty, but the coating was not crispy & slid off shrimp, which took away a lot of the flavor. Jambalaya was okay. Ambience inside restaurant is nice. Overall, highly recommend this establishment.

A rag-tag group of hikers head to a Cajun joint on a whim. While we were clearly out of dress code, the manager greeted us with smiles and hospitality. Upon recommendation we ordered the deep fried ribs (that's right deep fried), and the seafood platter. Best decision made that day, including and earlier decision to carefully avoid a coral snake on our hike. Do yourself a favor and call The Pelican House ahead of time and make a reservation, dress in something other than what you just got done hiking in (we felt bad after we observed the dusty foot prints we left on the polished floors) and enjoy yourself a special treat at this hidden gem.

This place is wonderful. From the moment walking in till leaving it’s was great. The food was amazing as well as the drinks. I would definitely be back and love how friendly the staff is keep up the work.
