Wonderful guided ice climbing trip led by Wyoming Mountain Guides. Felt safe with our very competent guide, Dane. Quick communication getting everything planned was great and also very accommodating for any last minute changes. Would definitely recommend and would definitely sign up for another trip. Trip was fun and challenging, and exactly what we signed up for.

Climbing with Zach from Wyoming Mountain Guides was an awesome experience. He had great knowledge of the rock and conditions in Ten Sleep, belaying techniques and beta for the routes we climbed. He made safety a priority, double checking our gear and set-up before every climb and was super flexible with my constantly changing schedule on the road. We had great conversation on and off the wall and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get on the rock in Wyoming. Oh and he also took these great photos. Such a fun time!

I signed up for an Into to Ice Climbing class and it exceeded my expectations! I've done a fair amount of rock climbing and high altitude mountaineering, but had never climbed vertical ice. I was looking to gain new skills identifying ice conditions, setting up ice anchors, and review climbing techniques specific to ice. The first day was a deep dive into the education and knowledge I was looking for. The guide gave me a great opportunity to top rope my first ice route. It was clear that my guide had a deep knowledge of ice climbing. I knew day 2 was going to be a lot of climbing different ice conditions and my guide gave me the option to climb as much or a little as I wanted. I was a bit sore from the day before. We ended up having amazing ice conditions and climbed 4 sequential long pitches in the South Fork Valley. It was truly a legend day! All in all, my guide was extremely accommodating to flex the curriculum to exactly what I needed. I gained more out of 2 days of climbing than I could of imagined. I would suggest Wyoming Mountain Guides to anyone who was looking for local guides in Wyoming! Climbing the South Fork is world class!

Zack made our experience the most amazing one! He is very calm and his instructions are clear and easy to follow. As all 4 of us are complete beginners, we didn’t expect to go very far. With Zack’s coaching, we all made it far up the icefall. At no point in time did we feel unsafe. The knowledge about the area and Wyoming shared by Zack made the day even more interesting. We highly recommend Zack and his company for a wonderful experience.

We had a stellar experience rock climbing with Wyoming Mountain Guides. My husband and I did a two-day trip through Vedauwoo in southeast Wyoming. Between my husband and I, our experience in climbing was very different, and Zach was able to find climbing routes and pitches that were appropriate for both of our abilities. We were really impressed with their level of professionalism, flexibility and experience with climbing and knowledge of climbing sustainability. Safety is taken very seriously, and they helped teach us the foundation of the entire climbing system, climbing technique, setting up anchors, etc. Zach set us up with climbs matching our abilities, and we had a fantastic time. Personally, as someone with a hesitation of heights, I was coached positively and kindly through each step, and I ended up climbing higher than I thought I ever would! Our confidence in climbing increased, and we are looking forward to learning more and going out again. Thank you to the Wyoming Mountain Guide Team!

These guys did absolutely incredible! I was really nervous when going into this trip, but they did an amazing job relieving some of that nervousness and making me feel very comfortable. They never pushed me into doing anything that I didn’t want to do, but they were always cheering me on. Zach and Zayne were my guides and they did an absolutely amazing job at telling us what we needed when going on the trip and also providing extra stuff that I didn’t have. Also super funny and knowledgeable guides! Definitely didn’t think I was in the shape for ice climbing, but they were always accommodating to my skill level- they really did a great job at meeting me where I was at. Would totally recommend this, if you’re going back-and-forth about if it’s worth it, I would say it’s totally worth the trip! 12/10 would recommend.

I went through WMG for an intro to ice climbing course with a group of friends. We are rock climbers on a budget and Zach was willing to work with us to do one day instead of two at an excellent price. Our goals of learning technique, systems, and safety were well-achieved and our guides were super helpful talking us up the routes, and were great in recognizing the knowledge and skills we had from rock climbing and helping us build off that. Discounts are offered for return clients and overall it was a hell of a deal for a quality time.
