Took my daughter here for lunch and we had such a lovely experience. The menu is vast and it’s hard to pick one or two things, so naturally we came home with leftover fondue, potato pancakes, chicken schnitzel strips, fries, and sausage . The wedge salad was great! Loved the house made bleu cheese dressing—it wasn’t too intense. Food came out quickly and multiple servers came to check on us. We loved our lunch date!

Wild fresh Pacific Northwest Salmon. My favorite. Was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Felt good about distance between tables. Server was a joy and followed the covid19 protocols. Menu as reduced in number of items. Was celebrating our 2 weeks wait after the J& J vaccinations.
Ok, firstly, the drink selection is good, the food tastes great, the service is ok too. Fair warning though, if you're expecting to order off the happy hour menu, they are no longer offering a happy hour. It was a little confusing to our party since we'd checked the website before ordering, it said we were in the middle of a happy hour, and so we were caught off guard a little when we were told we couldn't order from that menu. After asking why we couldn't order from the happy hour menu when the website stated otherwise, we were told "oh yeah, lots of people have complained about the confusion of seeing happy hour online and then not being able to get it" and "I don't know why my boss doesn't just take it off the website". Long story short - go here for dinner if that's what you're planning but if you want something more casual, head somewhere else where they'll bother to keep their info consistent.
Best German food I have had in America. Maybe even better than my german grandma's.
This is just what we needed after several months of not dining out! The cleanliness, service and food was exceptional. We are so happy Gustavs has been able to navigate the incredible challenges that faced all restaurants in the Portland area. Very safe and delicious- we will continue to support them.
This is one of my nephew's favorite places, so we've been here several times recently - until the latest shutdown, of course. I've had lunch and dinner, and they're both great. The food is delicious and well-prepared, the staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. The restaurant is a pleasant space with a comfortable atmosphere. Recent times have cut the menu down considerably, and that is a pity. Oh - can't forget the drinks. Whoever mixes their cocktails knows the job. Yum.
Yummy German food. The sausage was amazing. The German potato salad was like my childhood. The sauerkraut and cabbage were delightful Desserts were enjoyed heartiy
This restaurant is superb and broad, the food was yummy and the prices were very economical. quick, productive service and very welcoming staff members. Highly recommended.
