I needed cash, so I found a local company to get a title loan. It was quick and easy to get it, but my 5,000 loan was saddled with a 9,000 debt cancellation product. Thankfully, FL Attorney General put a stop to that and my loan was recalculated and the money I paid towards the product was applied to my principle. I always paid my loan within the grace period, except for one time due to unemployment and communicated exactly when I was able to pay the late payment, but this company hounds you the whole grace period, starting day 1! And if you do want to pay off early, you have to go through an online payoff request process that never worked for me! I put in a payoff request on 9/23, then called 9/24 to confirm they got the request. I was told yes, it takes 24-48 hours to process. So I should have received something on 9/25, but no. I had to call daily to finally get the payoff 6 days later!! Meanwhile, the dealer I traded in that car to is sitting on the deal, getting angry! Such a contradiction! They hound you for payment, but when you want to pay them off, they take their sweet time getting you a payoff amount!

My experience went smooth and the staff was truly great. Even when I ran into hardship they were very understanding and worked with me. They gave me the right amount that I needed and what I like the most was fixed interest rate. My sincere recommendation.
Unless you are in need of a LIFE SAVING situation, DO NOT DO IT!!! VERY high interest and some made up loan security payment is MANDATORY to secure the loan. If you make 1 late payment you are obligated to pay this MADE UP loan security fee. Its about DOUBLE the amount of the loan. I paid off a 2k loan in 3 months. Cost me 1k in interest. OUTRAGEOUS! I gave them my ORIGINAL title as collateral, after I paid off the loan, I received a bad photo copy back. Do yourself a favor and get rhe money some other way. These guys are CROOKS!!!
My experience with Marlin was amazing. I gave my title to a boat, I got the proper amount of money, a descent amount of cash, I waited in no lines. I managed great with the information I had on the website and then the information I got from their loan officer through online communication. It was even more than I expected. Looking forward to dealing with them again!
