I rented a mid sized tiller from this location. The unit was missing a cotter pin that would have engaged half of the blades. I do not understand why the department would rent a malfunctioning unit. The CSR1 wanted us to return the for the placement of the pin. Fortunately, my brother is a mechanical genius and suggested that we just pick up the required pins and replace them ourselves, which we did. The staff there don't communicate well with one another. CSR1 who prepared our rental agreement was at lunch when we returned to pick up the pins. CSRs 2 and 3 spent about 10 minutes looking for the proper pin for our unit. They eventually cannibalized another unit so that we would have pins. CSR1 was at lunch but came in to see if we were being helped. They stated the drawer with the correct pins was pulled out to make it easier for someone else to find. BUT they didn't actually TELL the other CSRs that we were coming or the specific location of the pins. The department is poorly managed. 1) No equipment should ever be leased without checking to enssure it is functioning properly. 2) There should always be spare parts of inexpensive items like cotter pins. 3) No employee should EVER have to interrupt their legally mandated lunch break to take care of anything their co-worker is able to do. Our rental agreement was adjusted for the time.

As most suggest, this deserves a ZERO rating. Products are all garbage, don't waste your time renting from here you will just return it 30 minutes later when you realize it doesn't work. Customer service is ridiculous. Constantly trying to shift blame to the customer. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!

Worst Home Depot experience possible! Had a manager yell at me because of a broken rental tool! Refused to accept it was broken when rented. Accussed me of taking it apart. Even though... I had damage protection. There was no reason to even argue. But, he chose to take it personally. He actually said I was lying. I asked to review the video, which would clearly show me asking if it was supposed to move around like that, No reply. I asked to speak to someone else, no reply. I asked to make complaint, no reply. I pointed out that I was a preferred customer of 19 years, no reply. I asked again to speak to someone else. He continued to repeat that I signed it out in working condition. We had a very small window of time to complete a task. The tool failure completely ruined the success of our evening work. I did not take it personally. 8pm- 1/20/17

Awful customer service. Avoid asking anybody for anything from this store. They really have no idea where anything is or what they sell. If you're looking to rent a drill...or anything at all don't come here. REESE in the tool rental will simply roll her eyes at you and look at you like you're incompetent. When in fact she could not find the drill herself and then asked if I'd like to purchase one. Sorry but doesn't that defeat the purpose of tool rental? Just save your time and the hassle. Go to Lowe's!!

If I could I'd give this store a ZERO!!!!! Nothing good to say about this HD. Ignorant, rude, lazy employees, mostly ghetto customer base and a dirty store with bathrooms unfit even for barn animals. AND, the tool rental center is a complete joke too. The employees there are just as RUDE, know nothing and aren't even able to pickup the phone.
