My daughter participated in Western lessons here for a few weeks. After paying an evaluation fee, the Western program was abruptly cancelled and no refund given for a wasted evaluation fee. Look around for a more reputable facility.
I recently relocated to Atlanta from California. It was a scary experience choosing a barn to bring my horse sight unseen and without meeting the staff. All I can say is that God had His hand in it, because this barn turned out to be exactly what my horse and I were looking for. In only a few months I have come to truly love the people and atmosphere. And, most importantly, I never worry about the care my most prized possession (my horse) will receive if I am unable to get to him. Being able to have such trust is worth more than gold to me. I also have been able to watch the trainers (Jessica and Ashley) teach lessons and coach at shows. They both have a wealth of knowledge and are excellent teachers. While I ride and train in a different discipline, I know enough to highly recommend them. I can't say enough good things about the barn and the people. I thank God every day that I found them through a simple Google search.
Was happy to provide a review! My daughter hasn't stopped talking about this place in weeks! great to see her light up and really be enthusiastic about something so positive. Great physical activity and fantastic environment. Owner is a counselor and told me it would be the best "boy proofing" I could do for my teen daughter and she was right! She talks about horses now instead of boys - big big plus for Dad!
Most of the few people that work there are relatively nice ... But the owner / manager whom was there often was aweful ... Never cracked a smile or spoke to us /never said hello .. I kept my account in good standing always by paying ahead .. wanted my child to participate in a competition after training for over a year and they would never inform us of any and then did all they could to not let her .. after we spent 300 on the attire .. I could go on and on ... Hope it works out for others but the owner only seems to care about her personal training and that's it !!!
After buying a Groupon, My Daughter has been hooked to Towne Lake...Her Trainer Jessica Barker is amazing, talented and fun to be around! We attended our first show last weekend and 9 champions later we couldn't be happier. The Facility is clean and ran top notch. We are always greeted with a smile by staff and horses!
I purchase a Groupon for my son & myself to take lessons from TLEC. I have to say that Jessica & Ashley are amazing trainers. I was so impressed with Ashley training my son. She had patience and above all else expert knowledge for her age! I truly appreciated how she talked to my son with respect especially since he was new the the sport. Scheduling was a breeze even when I had to reschedule a few times. Both are accommodating to busy schedules. communication was effortless. Their professional and respectful personalities made the decision very easy to become members to the barn family.
WOW BE VERY WARY!!!!!!! all I can say the owner is very unwilling to put things right..... Charges removed from my account....... My daughter has been at this facility since around May 2014 and has enjoyed her riding with her trainer Michelle. However everything went wrong right after her trainer left. We had a new trainer who showed no real interest and would spend her time training by talking to the owners husband instead of concentrating on training. Be careful with the jumps as they are in disrepair and my daughter could have been seriously injured when the jump fell over and a broken part of the upright stood straight up. The lower arena is also very dangerous for the horse and riders. There are ridges in the it and there are large stones sticking out of the ground so if you fall off you could be seriously hurt. They took a month of charges out of my account in July 2014 after being told that my daughter would be out of the country for the whole month. I have tried to reason with the owner who really has no concept of customer service. She sent me an email last month stating we could have the November lessons free as they had taken the money out of my account from July. Well we arrived for a lesson this week (the first lesson in November) to be told we didn't have an appointment as they had a new trainer and she had taken over that time slot. I have had texts back and forth with the owner but as I said absolutely no concept of customer service. We go every Thursday by the way and no one told us it was cancelled. Any way they owe me 225.00 and the owner wants to put her head in the sand and hope it just goes away. I hope you read this and the other reviews. Make up your own mind but be VERY WARY. We have found a far better equipped facility in Woodstock GA rain or shine......
