Definitely recommend! These pictures are from 2 different trips this summer. I took my kids and friends on one trip, the other trip (with the big group) is one I take annually..an all adult weekend camping trip. It usually gets bigger every year but with COVID, this group is actually about 20 people less than normal. Parking can get crazy but it's a great place to get away.

Jack's did a great job with arranging our shuttle and canoe rental for a multi-day river trip. When we took out early due to an unexpected change in the weather they refunded the cost of the second part of the shuttle which we did not use. They are super-aware of the need to extra safety precautions during COVID. I highly recommend them if you are looking for an outfitter. The only challenge is that after Labor Day their hours shift to by appointment only. That said, they are responsive to their messages and do get back to you in a timely fashion.
The people I spoke with were very informative and willing to make sure you knew everything required to be prepared for the trip ahead. We did an overnight kayak trip with 9 people, and the larger kayaks they had available afforded us plenty of room for the things we needed to bring. They were able and willing to quickly accommodate an alternate pickup plan from what we had discussed the day before.
Very fun time, not overly priced, will definitely go again! Very accommodating staff and very informal.
There's a pandemic on, which makes going on vacation a challenge. Since outdoor activities are a better idea than indoor ones, we wanted to find an outfitter that was approaching things responsibly. Jack's is requiring masks in any common indoor spaces, masking the staff, reducing shuttle vans to one group per van, and being pretty up-front about the risks of going out in a time like this. They're probably getting some flack about this because masks are pretty political in this part of the state, and deserve credit for putting safety first. ALSO: the prices are affordable and our canoe rental and float down the river was lovely, so the core product is good, too!
