Akins is the original health food store in Tulsa. They have items which you are unlikely to find elsewhere (check the pictures). Wide variety of vitamins & supplements for specific health concerns. Vegan & GF items are available. This is the smaller store. If you can't find it here, then try the location at 51st St. and Memorial Ave.
They are always sold out of the supplement I need. Their staff tries to be helpful, but usually just repeat stuff they've already told me. I don't like going there, but they are the only place I can find the supplement (when it's in stock) it's not even available online
I love this store! I received lots af help and felt right at home! The cashier was kind and courteous as well!!
I split my time between here and the 51st store, and both are fine. About as expensive as whole foods, and without the prime 10%, but I'd like to think I'm keeping the money local compared to feeding Amazon's pockets. The staff are usually pleasant/helpful, and I usually find what I want.
