This tour will be one of the best excursions I’ve had! Thanks to Captain Mike, he made it very entertaining and exciting trips. Because of the size of their compact boat, he actually got under the rock and inside a cave which other boats can’t do. This excursion should be a MUST when visiting Port Austin. I also have to thank another Captain who is also Mike who helped me with my car trouble after my excursion was over. He was super nice and cooperative and when I tried tipping him, he refused to take it. Him helping us was just a kind gesture of truly helping us. I felt really warm and fuzzy after this encounter and can’t really wait to return to Port Austin just to have more experiences with the amazingly nice people that are here!

Took the tour today, Larry was our captain/ tour guide. It was a great experience from start to finish. Very informative and educational. He was able to get is into a few caves, and within touching distance from Turnip rock. Well worth 50 dollars per person. I highly recommend this tour.

Captain Larry was great and super knowledgeable about the history of the lake, and the rock formations. The cave was super cool. Although I got a little sea sick, he was super compationate about my experience and wanted to make sure my trip was still a good one. Thank you captain Larry. You're a great tour guide.

We took this boat tour to see Turnip Rock when the local kayak tour had no open reservations for today. It was Plan B when the day started, but by the end of the boat tour with John... it will always be our Plan A and THE ONLY WAY we will ever tour Turnip Rock ever again!! This was such a fun tour and a great way to relax in the open air out on the lake while taking in some of the most breathtaking views in Michigan!! John was absolutely the BEST tour guide. He was friendly, funny, informative, passionate about giving us the best experience, and an awesome navigator through some good size Lake Huron waves. We saw so much more then Turnip Rock... we went into caves in the boat, learned the history of the area and got some of the most amazing up close pictures...all with no stress of navigating a kayak. Our hands were free to get all the pictures we could have never imagined getting had we been paddling a kayak. Our THANKS to John for making our day in Port Austin absolutely FANTASTIC, beyond our expectations! We will be back and if you are reading this and even thinking of touring Turnip Rock....call now...this is the ONLY way to go!!

Capt. Larry and Turnip Rock Boat Tours provided a near perfect experience and adventure for us. The vessels are well maintained, the price is right, the knowledge that Captain imparts about the history of the area is incredibly valuable. Turnip Rock is beautiful and w/the vessel, we were able to access the Rock close up. I recommend this company if you’re looking for personalized attention, easy scheduling, and a beautiful experience.

Turnip Rock was on my bucket list and by far not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. Larry was our captain and was excellent. I would recommend 100%!

What a great experience! This tour will take you completely around Turnip Rock while other tour boats can only get you close. It's a must do if visiting Port Austin.
