We rented the 21ft Starcraft Deck Boat, and it was perfect! We had a group of six adults and one infant, and even had a pack-and-play setup for part of the time! The check-in process went very smooth, and the boat worked perfectly. All three guys we dealt with at the dock were very helpful, going over the boat, suggesting the best spots to go, and what areas to avoid. If you have a boat in the evening, I'd highly recommend going over to the gulf side and watching the sunset! That was beautiful! We spent two days on the water, going all around Marathon, as well as out to the Sombrero Key lighthouse for some AMAZING snorkeling! I'm a scuba-diver as well, and the snorkeling out at Sombrero Key Lighthouse was as close to diving as I've ever done! It was spectacular! The reef comes up to within just a few feet of the surface, and in some places drops down to the sand at about 25 feet. You'll want to get there early, and tie up to one of the mooring buoys, ideally just to the left and beyond the lighthouse. I snorkeled over to the lighthouse, and came across a 3' nurse shark.

We rented the 25ft Dusky a couple weeks ago. First, Kim was very knowledgeable and helpful when I made the reservation. She answered all my questions and concerns and was very professional. We had boat delivered to us and they launched it. When the boat arrived, Miguel also was very professional and explained everything we needed to know about the boat. During our week rental, we did have a slight problem with one engine. I called Jamie and he had someone out to our place where we were staying within the hour and fixed the issue. Overall experience was excellent. Boat was perfect for the week. We caught dolphin and dived Looe key all week. The most positive things were no matter when you called the office during working hours, Jamie always answered the phone to answer any questions. We had the boat delivered and it was on-time delivery and when they picked up, again on-time. No waiting around. I plan to rent again from Vacation Rental and do recommend them based my personal experience. Thank you Kim, Jamie and Miquel for the great experience!
They were nice and fair to us. They allowed us to depart 1/2 hr earlier and no extra charge when returning 20 minutes late.
