I have been taking classes at Vagabond school for nearly 4 years now and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to pursue acting at any level. All of the instructors are working actors. TV, Film Commercial and theatre, you name it, they've done it. Despite all their experience though, they are very fostering of students at any level and committed to individual improvement.

I have had the pleasure of studying a variety of on-camera, voice over and theater courses at Vagabond School of the Arts. Among their talented roster of instructors, Robyn Coffin & Cheryl Graeff stand out as particularly instructors. Both have really helped me fine tune my tool box of on-camera skills and improved my prep for auditions. In addition, Anne Sonneville was an enthusiastic Voice Over instructor, giving me a really solid base to go explore VO work! Since COVID, I’ve completed two Digital Theater Rep Workshops, giving me valuable face time with and direction from a variety of directors at some of Chicago’s top theaters including the Goodman, Steppenwolf and Remy Bumppo to name a few! Having participated in Vagabond courses in person and on-line, I can assure you the experience is every bit as valuable via zoom...in some ways, even better! Finally, when I was searching for an agent, I worked with Michael McCracken on an Agent Prep Package. I walked away with a professional, streamlined set of materials, a much better understanding of the process and not long after...an agent! Emily in the office is a delight to deal with, always quick to respond. I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences at Vagabond, highly recommend to other performers!

Launched my latest book SCRY FOR HELP at Vagabond after hearing about them through the grapevine. They are now my go-to event space: professional, easy to work with and GORGEOUS spaces that can house any kind of event imaginable. The lighting, the views and a lot of provided multimedia equipment. Attendees were quite impressed. A Ravenswood gem.

It was actually rather difficult to locate the building as it's on Ravenswood, but there are two Ravenswood streets that are both one ways so word to the wise. Other than that, it was awesome. It is a drop-off class for 2 hours. My daughter was super shy and not willing to go without me, but after literally 3 minutes, I was able to sneak out and she was clearly in great hands. I'm eagerly awaiting the video they created to be emailed to me. I think that's so cool and my little one is begging to go back this weekend so we're going to sign up again.

Amazing instructors and studio space. The instructors at Vagabond are incredibly insightful, professional and make on camera acting fun while giving great feedback to improve your skills. They are professionals working in the industry and will give you great pointers on the do's and don'ts of acting on camera.

I think it's great here, but I have a little bias. Anyone else love it? Go ahead and tell the world.
