Gilad and one of his partner took our two kids and their two friends out for a lesson. They are between 9-12. They all said this was the highlight of their trip to SoCal. They caught a ton of waves. These guys worked so hard getting them up on waves and back beyond the break. And they made it incredibly fun for them. You can tell the pride they take when the kids are up and riding. Their energy was infectious. Thank you!

There aren't many places where you can walk in, rent a piano room (with a nice looking upright piano too) for a maximum of 2 hours for 5, and play your heart out as a way to destress. I certainly am glad for this music center, even if I have to commute down to the 24th Street BART station from FiDi just to play for 30 minutes.
My kids have been in Freedom Surf Camp with Gilad and his team of terrific instructors for two summers, and they love it. They’re learning how to surf (and learning about water and sun safety) in a fun, confidence-building environment, surrounded by dedicated teachers. Great instructors, nice families and wonderful kids. The kids love the yoga sessions at the start of the day, too!
This surf camp is not like the rest. The instructors are really engaged with the kids and excited to be with them in the water, teaching them respect and love for the ocean. I think they're so successful in making kids comfortable because they meet them where they are. Kids can play in the sand, boogie board, surf, whatever they feel ready for. My eldest son has been surfing with Gilad and his amazing surf instructors since he was 6. He's 12 now and still loves coming to this camp every summer. Now my 7 year old will be starting his second summer with Gilad and is so excited to get back in the water. Inevitably, when I pick them up at the end of a day at Freedom, they are happy, exhausted and ready for more the next day!
Gilad and his team are fantastic. My son has attended camp the past 3 summers and has been taught to surf in a safe and fun environment. Gilad is an ocean expert, and very attentive to conditions and safety. He gets to know the kids, and encourages them to improve while having fun, both in and out of the water. We will definitely be going back!
