Small little bookstore in the middle of downtown LA! There are 3 levels. I can easily spend the entire afternoon hanging out here. It is very quiet. There are limited seating throughout the store. The building is old, historical, and full of characters. They do not have a large collection of books, but good enough. They also included \staff pick\ as recommendation for good reads!

This store is epic and steeped in history! So nice to have a shop where we can still touch and smell the books . All the great writers are covered and many surprises as well. I was amazed they had both John Fante AND Dan Fante , both hard to find in many stores . The super cool and knowledgeable staff , knew who I was talking about and even told me: “That author’s grandson comes in here all the time .” Excellent place. I can understand why Dan Fante loved it so.
