The ArManster

I had a great experience at Tamjidi Skin Institute today. Check in process was flawless and I felt very safe at the waiting room even though the practice is busy. After waiting less than 5 minutes I was called in to exam room. Dr. Tamjidi explained all options to treat skin discoloration and moles that have developed around my back area. She was very kind and answered all my concerns. I would highly recommend her to all my friends and family.

I came here several months ago to inquire about treatments to even out skin tone, and had what I thought was an okay visit. Saw the physician's assistant, who was very nice, but was disappointed that they just suggested a plain ol' retinol (which made me break out), and microneedling. Barely needed to see a dermatologist for that kind of advice. They didn't have any of the lasers that I asked about. So, it was kind of a waste of time and I was disappointed they didn't have any advanced tools, but oh well, this is DC, after all, not NYC. They told me they'd bill me for the copay. About four months later, after not hearing anything from them, I had completely forgotten about the visit when I got a notification from a debt collector that my measly 40 copay had been sent to collection. I had not received a single phone call, voicemail, or a letter from them, despite the fact that they had me fill out paperwork with my contact info when checking in. While the bill has now been paid, my credit score will probably feel the impact for some time.

This review is for Taj Hasan. Taj Hasan is the office manager and in charge of handling concerns in the office surrounding charges and bills. Keep every single receipt and proof of payment. Just today we were notified of a charge for under 10 from 2014 that they sent to collections. We had no idea this charge even existed and we are there at least twice a year which means they could have easily notified us to pay. He also admitted to them sending an incorrect invoice to collections for roughly 700 which we had in reality paid when it was due. The only person to talk about the matter is Taj Hasan who is unprofessional and unhelpful. He raises his voice when speaking to women and does not allow them to talk. He lets his pride get in the way of resolving the manner at hand. As the office manager, Taj Hasan needs to review the procedures of the office to ensure that erroneous charges are not sent to collection's agencies and that the staff informs patients of pending charges, especially when they are aware of it for at least six year.

They forgot to register me to start on my medication even though they had my lab work for a whole month. I waited 40 mins to hear this from a nurse, they do not respect patient’s time and do nothing when they receive a lab result. I wont be going back this disrespectful place!!

They are nice, but their appointments run real slow. I waited for an hour before my appointment started. They give you a lot of time to write a review. Probably would not have written it if I didn’t have to wait forever. They definitely don’t respect their clients time here.
