The place looks small on the outside but be prepared to do alot of walking but well worth it. The gentleman at the window was polite and gave us a map of what we would be looking at. This museum is full of everything and close ups of military equipment.

Yet another hidden surprise attraction. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but buy a ticket and dive into a very thorough and revealing collection of artifacts and pieces frozen in time that are RARELY seen, if ever. This place is great for giving people a flavor for the past that no black & white film footage ever can. Take the kids today!

Excellent military museum! I was shocked by how many artifacts were on display. I’m a 41 year old WW2/ general military history buff, and Iearned a lot of things I didn’t know. There were also a lot of interesting, one of a kind objects on display. The admission is inexpensive and definitely worth a visit. I drove 45 min from VA Beach and would go there again. One could spend two hours or more here.

8 admission. Plan on 3 hours if you're one who reads signs - there is A LOT of material in there. Outstanding displays, MANY artifacts, very well organized, fantastic interpretive signs. Covers all (ALL) American wars.

This was definitely a hidden little gem. It has significantly more artifacts, in depth, across a greater time period, than I had assumed. I'll go back and visit again.
