Marla is a great teacher, knowledgeable and direct. I have been her student for over 6 months and my voice is sounding more clear and strong. I was a beginner, not having sung since choir in childhood, but am seeing definite improvements after weekly lessons.

When I started taking voice lessons with Marla I had no singing experience and a very limited range. 2 years later of weekly lessons the vocal transformation Marla has created with me is amazing. I can see the progress every lesson and she knows exactly how to challenge me while still going at the pace I need. I would highly recommend taking lessons with Marla no matter your experience level.
Marla is a gem of a person. I am almost reluctant to write this review because I am so worried she will become so popular and won't have the time for my daughter. But greatness has to be shared. If you want a master in voice technique and healthy voice development, Marla is the teacher for you. The way she has taught my daughter has changed her singing and made her increase her range and develop a healthy belt all in one year. She still has a long way to go but I am so confident that with Marla training her, she will only get better. Marla is kind, gentle, empathetic and so understanding of a singer's obstacles. She will work with my daughter in whatever genre she wants to sing and is completely supportive. We are just so lucky to have found her.
In one lesson with Marla, I learned about breath, sound and how to make different notes without hurting my voice. (I'm a beginner and have sang only in choirs before. I was also shy to sing out loud by myself.) Marla made me realize this can be a comfortable, easy and FUN process; and helped me see the capability in my own breath and sound and vocal chords. The technique she taught was effective (you just need to practice) and really fascinating!!!
Marla is a wonderful singing coach and I really benefit a lot from her, will continue my training with her:) Highly recommend!
