My wife and I went to Waco for a day trip. We decided to have lunch and were looking for something different. Well, we found this wonderful place called the Clay Pot. The food looked great and tasted just as good as it looked. We had shrimp and grilled pork spring rolls to start. Delicious. Served with a tasty peanut sauce. Then we both ordered the grilled pork vermicelli bowls. Also delicious. The server Randi was friendly and attentive. The food was on the table quickly. Overall, this was quite the enjoyable dining experience. And, they practice distancing and took our temperature before seating. Will definitely return.

Food was really good. I recommend the spicy broccoli. The Stan's clay pot was also really good. Our server was nice and the place was clean. Its very popular.
We stopped for lunch on our way home and Clay Pot did a great job. We wanted to have something different and this Waco institution hit the spot. We all order Pho which was perfect on a cold day. The vegan pho was fantastic. The others had chicken or shrimp and all really enjoyed it. The hot tea hit the spot as well. Service was good and fast.
We weren't sure what to expect but had heard good things. The menu does not do the dishes justice. We asked our server, who was incredible, what she suggested. She took us through the menu and answered all our questions. Everything was outstanding!!! The food came out delicious and prepared the way she had suggested to us. We will definitely be back. It was too chilly to sit on the patio, but we did check it out and it was beautiful.
This place was excellent. Delicious fresh food. Very helpful friendly staff. Lots of gluten free options. And it is displayed on their menu!! Also if you are concerned with covid ... they actually take your temperature and require mask.
