This is my favourite lookout in O'ahu. The views onto the West coast are stunning and offer the perfect setting for great pictures. If you are short on time, this is still a great place to stop. If you have longer, you may consider reversing back to the larger car park and walk to the lighthouse.

It's worth stopping by and taking a picture. The views are pretty epic since you are up at a decent elevation, giving you a bit of an eagle eye's view. Stop and enjoy!

Really lovely spot to stop in and grab some really stunning views and pics! The trail just near there leads to some really great tide pools also. Nice spot to spend a day!

An easy and enjoyable hike. I'd go early before crowds and heat make it unpleasant. We saw whales and had a beautiful clear view of neighboring islands. It's paved the whole way and easy for kids or for strollers.

Makapuu Lookout, or just being at Makapuu Beach is my favorite spot on the Windward Coast. Beautiful ocean, the people on the beach, the fresh invigorating breezes and gorgeous mountain views can't get any better than this! At certain times of the year, you may be able to spot those Humpback Whales ! Glorious.

Really good view on the east side of island. The hike is good too. Most of the people prefer the hike early morning for whale. If you are lucky enough you will find some whale.

Easy short hike! Paved, wide trail. From the parking lot 1.3 miles one-way, granted it's all uphill going up! Great views at the top. If you park along the side of the main road you can stretch it out to 3 miles round trip

Great climbing spot if you walk up the rim. Can't beat the views. Even saw the whales.
