This is another great stop on the road to take in Waimea Canyon. As other reviewers pointed out, check the weather forecast to select a time with sunny weather / fewer clouds (in the early morning when I visited).

One the most beautiful thing of our mother nature.

Astounding! We were there in fog, but it moved through quickly, so we were able to see the gorgeous views!

Nice and main lookout point for the Waimea Canyon from the road. Well maintained with restrooms. 10 fee gives you parking in all the lookout points upto Koke'e park

A must see spot. Easy drive to lookouts and rigorous hiking trails throughout the area.

If you are coming to Kauai then this should be a place to visit. We came here on our Hawaii cruise from Vancouver. We had booked a shore excursion from our ship. The lookout is about an hour's bus ride from the harbour. Kauai is very green and mostly unspoilt. The island has many old homesteads. Many Hawaiians have worked in these firm for generations and apparently they they have been treated well. They were given houses and education for their kids, who have also worked in these firms. The Canyon is beautiful. It is also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. At the Canyon parking lot you will find a little shop that sells cut fruits and other tasty snacks. The prices are very reasonable.
