Very easy to submit a reservation online. I had a question about something and emailed them and got a prompt response. There was three of us, each with a single kayak, and we kayaked for an hour. We all enjoyed our time. We went on a Saturday, so it was definitely busy around the park, and no parking available under the tunnel, so we parked a few blocks up and walked down to the boathouse. Definitely plan ahead if going on a weekend. They do have porta-potties on site. Overall, it was a smooth process and all the employees were accommodating. I would use this boathouse again.

Nice date or family outing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I also didn't tip over so I'm grateful and I'll be back again this summer.
Reservation process was smooth and the staff were very friendly. We were super pleased to find them wearing masks and sanitizing all the boats, paddles, and life jackets (not something you can say for all rental companies). We did an hour double kayak rental around Roosevelt Island (careful not to get too close to the shore or you’ll get stuck haha). It was a great time! Parking is generally crazy in Georgetown, but on Friday we found 5 all-day parking (till 7pm) at the CB2 garage about a 7-min walk from the rental.
We did the sunset monument tour and it was amazing! Our guide, Madeline, was superb. Highly, highly recommend!
Wonderful experience, would recommend. They're flexible with their rental hours when plenty rentals are still available. Had someone lose phone in the river so I wouldn't recommend bringing yours if you're the kind who likes to jump in and out the water. This place seemed to only offer one hour rentals through website though so that was confusing.
