In my experience, CleanChoice Energy has been a very no-strings-attached energy provider. Transitioning to them was simple, and it gave me reassurance to know I was not locking myself into a contract--there is no fee for a residential customer to cancel service if they so choose. You receive an email every month or so showing the impact your clean energy consumption has on the environment, which I like to review. The website is informative and delineates how and from where the solar and wind energy is obtained.

Received an unwarranted mail from them today asking to make the switch. For a company whose mission it is to provide environmentally sustainable solutions, they sure know how to kill a lot of trees with their unnecessary paper advertising. Please actually consider the environment when you're trying to promote yourselves. Hard pass. Update 08/18/2020 : I just received a “second notice” mail today. Regardless of whether you used soy ink and recycled paper for your marketing materials; the fact that you use any materials in the first place still contributes to water and energy consumption that could be put towards I don’t know... digital marketing?
This company has sent me literally dozens of unsolicited paper mailings over the course of the last few months. Clearly the company doesn't understand the concept of energy conservation. Their phone number does not work so I am wondering if this is a real company at all.
We have been using Clean Choice Energy for about two years and are very pleased. We like that they let us know the equivalent of how many cars taken off the road for a year, how many trees planted for 10 years or how many lbs. of carbon pollution avoided just be using their wind and solar energy source. It costs just slightly more than ComEd and needs to be renewed each year to avoid a big increase, but at least we feel we are doing something to help save our precious environment. We highly recommend Clean Choice Energy.
Cleanchoice Energy is a step in the right direction for a future free of fossil fuels. I teach children that renewable energy sources are the only way to protect the environment from the worst of global warming; a third of all greenhouse gas emissions are from oil and gas burning. Each year, global temperatures reach record highs never reached previously. I understand people are concerned with the cost, advertising, and transparency. But I applaud Cleanchoice Energy for their dedication to an energy efficient approach.
