My wife and and I visited Cotton and Reed and the Union Market area for the first time this weekend. A very cool area and a place I will keep an eye on as it keeps developing. As for Cotton and Reed all we can say is WOW. Great place, great service and Amazing Rum! The All Spice Dram is likely the best tasting Rum liqueur we have every had. The PX Dark is amazing as well. If you like Rum cancel your plans for next weekend whatever they are and book a table at Cotton and Reed

This has become my new go-to spot in DC. They've created a very unique, covid-safe environment that is perfect for the frigid winters. I've recently introduced this to my friends and they've also fallen in love. Whether you decide to get a flight of their rum or their Cocomotion frozen cocktail, you will not be disappointed. Also, the workers are delightful, which of course is a huge plus.
Very good vibes. Service was excellent and personable the vibe was nice on a Thursday, rnb chill music & the drinks were great a little pricey but hot toddy hit the spot as well as the ‘old fashioned’ made with care
Off the beaten track of Union Market (2 min walk from main food hall) Cotton Reed is the place for rum drinkers. On Saturdays at 1 and 2PM there are free tastings and brewery tours that take approx 30 minutes. I ordered the *catch fraise* slushie which included strawberry and limon, it was a great way to cool down on the hot summer day while enjoying the open air bar. Plan to bring friends who visit and look forward to popping by on a Tiki Tuesday.
We joke that we have a two round minimum when we visit Cotton & Reed because they always have new and interesting drinks on the menu. Their bartenders are great and the space has a great vibe. We've been to a few collaboration events that have been really fun as well!
