Coming up from the Judiciary subway I was surprise how extensive this memorial has become since my last visit to DC. It is a wall with names of law enforcement personnel killed. There really is no where to sit and reflect, but there are nice tree lined walkways and bronze statues mostly of animals.

My family and I visited the national law enforcement memorial the weekend of September 26th, and we were welcomed by a wonderful man named Terence. He works there in the kiosk and keeps our loved ones protected. Thank you Terence for brightening Our Moment as we remembered our loved one whom was lost seven years ago in a Coast Guard law enforcement incident. This is a beautiful place in Washington DC to come and pay respect and be with your loved ones that protected all of us during their lives.

As the Manager of the Memorial Grounds, we take great care to assure that all visitors to the Memorial have a tranquil and memorable experience when they visit. We make sure that every law enforcement officer, or survivor who visits the Memorial are well educated about the history of the Memorial. As well as the care we take to make sure their loved ones names and memories are kept to the highest standards. If you have a loved one, family member, or coworker who's name is on the wall. Or are just in DC, please stop by and visit us. We will make sure your visit will be something to remember and cherish for the rest of your lives. All the best from the Memorial and Museum staff.

Incredibly Hallowed Ground. As a 10-year veteran law enforcement officer, I am always awestruck when I go, and always feel the weight of all of the officers who have gone before looking down on me. If you have not been, you must go, and you must experience what it is like

Take the metro red line and the stop is directly beside the memorial. Easiest way to get there. Visited during police week 2019. It's a beautiful place to visit and pay your respects. Highly recommend people go if only to see just how many names are written in stone.
