We had Alaska Fire & Flue install a brand new fireplace for us. We were in there on a Thursday, Jim came for an estimate Saturday & they installed Monday. Customer service was phenomenal!!! Communication was great and the install guys did a fantastic job. We would recommend these guys over and over again. Thank you Jim & Chris for such an easy transaction!

We received excellent service from Ben. He came to our house, showed us some pictures of previous work, listened to what we wanted to do, put together an estimate and delivered on it. What more can you ask for? We intentionally wanted to keep things simple and he did exactly that. I couldn't be happier with our new wood stove.
Product recommendations and communication with the Wasilla staff was a good experience. I was able to replace a 50 year old home built wood stove with a simple and modern stove that was appropriately sized for the house. It took several phone calls and a site visit to work out the installation details and materials. I would consider that level of effort necessary for a project of this complexity. The installation staff were courteous and appeared experienced. However, they also took unnecessary shortcuts and seemed to rush key steps. They provided one substitute part, different from what was on our materials list, that required refitting a rough opening. After they departed I spent considerable time refitting hastily installed parts that may have met code, but were painful to look at. I am still not happy with the sloppily installed attic shield, but the only way to fix it would be to remove the chimney to access the mounting screws. 30 seconds with a level and I would have been a happy customer… Would I recommend this vendor for materials? Yes. Would I recommend this vendor for a new chimney installation? No. Please keep in mind that this was a specific crew in 2021 - these reviews have a way of becoming dated and may not be applicable to your circumstance.
Mike came out to our home and cleaned our chimney better then anyone ever had he even cleaned things that no one bothered too. Which led to us finding out we needed things replaced badly. Mike was super amazing and helpful replacing it all and was courteous and professional. I highly recommend them and so glad Homer had anther option for Chimeny services ! Thank you
WOW. Now, I am a tough critic, so take my word for it when I say, the folks at AK Fire and Flue are the people you want!! Ben came to our home and made a retrofit installation work WONDERFULLY! He was professional, very friendly, and extremely capable. If he can make it work at our house, he surely can at yours, as we had some very tricky aspects to maneuver around. The Osbourne we chose works GRRRREAT, heating our entire 1,960 sqft home. We cook on it too. Fabulous overall, and they provide constant, great, customer service.
