Scott Meeker

Karate has done wonders for my son over the years. He is being taught more that what is required for belts. He is taught ethics, courage, strength, integrity, leadership, and integrity. He is in great physical shape because of Karate. But more importantly, you build great relationships there. We love our karate family.

I went here for Karate when I was a kid for years (starting back when they were located next to the train tracks at the corner of Tylersville and Cin-Day, and continued when they moved to where Jorge Gurgel Martial Arts Center is now) and worked my way up to brown belt. I eventually decided to quit though because Stephanie Buckner was such a bully to me as an instructor; too quick to put you down and make you feel terrible instead of trying to help you improve. Hopefully she is better today but I wouldn't send my children here knowing that she is now the "Master Instructor".
