When you want to have your guitar or bass set up by the very best in the business take it to Kinney at Westchester Music, you will not be disappointed!. In the West Los Angeles Area there is none better. If you have a question regarding an instrument, or what instrument purchase you should make, the years of knowledge and experience that is available at Westchester Music Store will not let you down. I have been a customer for years, and there is a good reason why I keep coming back, simply put, satisfaction!

Kenny is probably, no definitely, the best tech in the city. His prices are the most reasonable, he really caters to your specific needs, and guitars will SING after he's worked on them. He's always willing to chat as well and is one of the most friendly but professional guys in the guitar repair industry I've ever met. A shop and I wouldn't hesitate to refer a friend.

Just an awesome shop! First, the owner Kenny is an absolute wizard when it comes to difficult repairs, and adjustments that require finesse and a delicate touch. He's also a real expert at diagnosing and fixing electronic stuff, (my weak suit!). I've been to MANY repair people over my 50 years of playing professional guitar, and he's the BEST, hands down!

What an awesome find. My favorite guitar, a spruce-top 1977 Guild D25, fell off its stand and the head snapped off, splintering everywhere. Heartbroken, I thought it was dead for sure, but then Kenny! Kenny really knows his stuff. I wish I could post pictures here. He put Humpty back together again, and you cannot tell it was ever broken. He perfectly matched the finish, taking great care to leave the original logo, all for a fraction of the price to replace it. Go here, guys. Kenny's the best.

Best guitar tech in Los Angeles. Found my favorite tube amp at his store a few years ago. Gave me a great deal and keeps my vintage guitar strumming. Don't go anywhere else.

I took in my 30 plus year old Fender Strat for some TLC and Kenny did an amazing job re-fretting and refinishing the neck. The neck looks brand new and even better than the one on my 4 year old Strat! I would definitely recommend Westchester Music for anyone needing work done on their guitars!

Westchester Music is not only a great store, but Kenny Bevins is the kind of guy who want to go out and have a beer with. He has fixed my guitars (once so well, that when I went to sell it, he couldn't even see the repairs he had done!), sold me guitars (My Fender Strat is one of my treasured possessions…and he threw in the COOLEST "retro" guitar case!!!) and he knows how to treat people and what it takes to gets them not only to come back, but do something they never do….WRITE A REVIEW! He has strung my guitars, appraised a couple of my guitars to sell, even bought a guitar from me (and gave me a great price) after hearing me complain about the pain it was to sell it online. To be compete honest, I hate going into his store, because I KNOW I am going to buy something! But then I am happier than a pig in h!t! My daughter is 10, taking piano lessons, only because I promised to buy her a guitar from Kenny…so she can start her "punk rock band". Which is funny, because she hates punk rock music….but that's another story for another time. I only hope Kenny can keep the store open; as the neighborhood goes more and more "upscale" - great and knowledgeable customer service, kindness and generosity always seems to fall by the wayside for another Starbucks or Guitar Center - where the "employees" think they are Jack Black in "High Fidelity". Being too cool, and not bothering to hide their contempt for anyone who doesn't know who produced Roxy Music's fourth album (Chris Thomas and John Punter…oh no! I'm one of them!) I love the store, and hope it is open for as long as Kenny wants it to be. Sorry for the long "review", but how do you describe "heaven" in less than five paragraphs? And, going into Westchester Music is like going to "heaven"…without dying!!!! (and I just talked myself into going there tomorrow…dammit Kenny!!!!)
