St. Demetrios church in Weston is a beautiful newly constructed Byzantine style church. It is located in a residential neighborhood and offers ample parking. An indoor basketball court which is attached to the church serves as a social hall after Sunday services and on special occasions. The two priests serving the St. Demetrios community are very spiritual and engaging, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Services are wonderful and inspiring, led by the priests and aided by very capable chanters and an excellent choir. The church community consists of residents of 40 or so towns and is very welcoming and friendly. Ministries for all ages are offered, creating the opportunity for everyone to be involved in the life of the church.

Wonderful community and beautiful architecture. Weekly divine services in Greek, and several weekday services every month. We joined the community for their yearly church feast day, and enjoyed the service and the repetition the followed. Beautiful setting in nature and large parking lot.

St. Demetrios is an outstanding example of a church and community that is Christ-centered and thriving where other churches are dwindling. It offers many ministries to engage both young and old and is sensitive to the changing demographics of our society while using a mix of both the Greek and English languages. There are often several priests serving during the Sunday Liturgy and the choir’s voices are second to none. It’s a wonderful parish for families and a spiritual haven where you’ll feel right at home in this beautiful newly constructed Byzantine church. It is truly magnificent and a place where worship is placed above all else.
