09/01/2019 - 0 hour is upon us for my bounus daughters wedding. Thank you guys! I don’t know what a good or a fair price would be for a piece of architectural history. In walking around the place, I can tell that these guys take great care in salvaging items from very old buildings. They can give you the back story on every object in the place and how they obtained it. I found all employees to be knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and open to negotiations. To find a business with these kinds of quality salvaged building materials, I would have to drive to Chicago, Saint Louis, or Indianapolis. Peoria - Do It Yourselfer’s need to pay this place a visit.

Such a cool place to find hidden treasures and cool custom built items.

A really good collection of salvaged materials, from doors to signs to ironwork. They will also make you things out of what's there, for a very reasonable fee. Our next side-table is coming from there. Always worth the visit.

Whiskey City is a wonderful place, with unique items available. The owners and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the history behind many of the items. We also encourage support of the sale of their handmade Christmas ornaments to benefit the Peoria Children's Home.

This is where I go to find design pieces I forgot even existed.

Only being open one day a week makes it a challenge to go and their building isn't the easiest to find. But they have got a lot of really cool items rescued from some of the historic buildings in the Peoria area that they should be proud of. And their pride is reflected in the prices. Some items are priced right, others are quite expensive IMO. I will keep them in mind for my next project, but will shop around as well for that special piece with a story behind it.
