The first time we came in was when my fiancé and I were looking at engagement rings. The staff were very helpful at first but then started to become extremely pushy. When we got to the financing part the staff member asked my fiancé about his credit score and how much money he made an hour. Once he gave her all this information she said how she wanted us to walk out with a ring that day so she was going to alter some of his financial information to work “in our favor”.. WEIRD. Clearly they’re not, but we’re honest people. After that we decided not to go back to purchase my engagement ring. That was about 8 months ago, yesterday my mother and I went in so I could buy a men’s wedding band outright and she could get her ring looked at- her ring was bought through Kays and she has to have it inspected every 6 months. They told my mom to set her ring in the basket while we were looking at the men’s bands. The lady walked us to the other side of the store and left my moms ring on the counter.. with other customers freely walking around by it! My mom brought it up to the staff member helping that they left her ring in the open for anyone to grab and walked over to get her ring back. The lady who was helping us had to call the inventory center to see if they had the band I liked in the size I needed. At this point, all of the other customers had been serviced and left. Another staff member (the same lady who wanted to lie for my engagement ring financing) was doing nothing so my mom asked if she could inspect her ring while we were waiting. The lady snapped on her &was extremely rude after that. Horrible experience every single time we’ve walked into that store. From now on whenever we have to go to Kays we will be taking the hike to the Novi location.

Brought in a Michael Kors watch for a battery replacement. The woman who worked on the watch not only managed to scratch the rear plate of the watch up so severely that it’s abrasive to the wrist, but the battery plate no longer clicks into place (it was returned to me not fully seated and it will not reseat). The watch is rendered worthless. They refuse to further service the watch as well. Be careful bringing your jewelry here.
I am not discounting the folks that work there. The company wants to charge 38 dollars to remove links from a watch. Absolutely absurd. The folks were nice. She held a straight face when she told me the price. I declined kindly and thanked her for her time and got a link removal kit for myself next door for 8 bucks. However. 38 bucks to remove links. Legit robbery

Had an appt to pick up my wedding rings after warranty work was done when we got there no one was there have not been able to get a hold of anyone ....called customer service they are looking into it but have not back that was 3 days ago I want my wedding rings back won't be going back to this store ever after I get them back if I ever do
