This is a fantastic collection of dug Civil War artifacts from Stafford and surrounding counties. The owner is very knowledgeable and willing to share information with those who visit. If you are interested in the Civil War and want a glimpse of what the Union Army ate, drank, fired, and lived with, this is a great place to visit.

Amazing little Civil War museum off the beaten track. Family owned and operated. Most artifacts are from Union winter quarters. Large amount of material on different Corp units that camped in this area for winter quarters. Some people will not think it's worth the visit, but for people who like to study the Civil War it is outstanding.

Though not as professional as the Mount Vernon estate exhibition it is a small museum with plenty of exhibits. It has been created by a group of private people and they are obviously in favor of the confederates. That does not hinder to appreciate all the artifacts they have dug out from the fields. They also recreated e.g. the huts the soldiers build for the winter. One gentleman showed us the whole museum and explained the exihibits and gave us background information. So we got by chance a personal tour that was very good to follow.

The gentlemen (I forget his name ) was an amazing wealth of knowledge. I went yesterday with my girlfriend. We both loved it. An amazing collection of relics that will make most civil war museums look silly. Well worth the stop and I would like to sincerely thank the owner and the people gathered there for their hospitality towards a yankee *bring cash for admittance*

Loved this Stafford county treasure! Amazing collection of Civil War artifacts. So glad I got to meet Mr. DP Newton. I appreciate the work and dedication he has put into preserving the rich history of this area. My kids loved it and I left with a desire to learn more. Thank you!

Simply one of the best. The gentlemen who work here were knowledgeable and very helpful. Much more to see in the museum than you would think from looking at it from the outside. Of particular interest to me was the bone with the musket ball still lodged in it.

Incredible civilian collection of wonderful CW history. All sorts of artifacts in the entire house turned into a museum. Marvelous.
