Called first thing in the morning and within a few hours they were at my door. Extremely quick and I wasn't expecting them to be that fast. Bill was my tech and he did an awesome job of explaining what my issues were and even took the time to explain some issues I was having that weren't directly related to the boiler. No pressure at all when telling me what needed fixing and he completed the job in a timely manner.All together he did a great job and I am really appreciative of how quick and professional he was. Just had a new boiler put in by Ranshaw and I wish I had known about these guys sooner. The igniter on my old boiler went out last winter and I called some random local guys that were terrible and severely overcharged me (predatory pricing because it was the middle of January). Before the winter hit this year I decided it was time to completely change out the 40 year old unit and looked around to see who could do it right. I'm so glad I found Ranshaw, both Richies ,yes there are two, were professional and knowledgeable. I'm very happy with their service and won't be calling anyone else in the future. Do yourselves a favor and stop wasting time with local HVAC/plumbing guys that run a business from their basement. There's a reason why Ranshaw has so many positive reviews vs the competitors.
Be very careful with this company. they charge 125.00 to give you an estimate, and when they come for the estimate, you have to commit to doing the work right then and there. The price they quote you is only good for that day they come. If you do not commit, you are out the 125.00... Thier quotes are also overpriced! Lesson learned never again! In response to you.. No I did waive the installation. Let's be clear and transparent, I simply said I could not do the work at that very moment they showed up. I was willing to do it later that day.They called the office and insisted that I had to do the work right then and there, when i explained i could not. I also must add how I did not hear from your company until I wrote this review. When you called me about the review, it seemed as if you were more concerned about your review that the customer!
I have dealt with a lot of various plumbers regarding my heating system over the years, most disregarding whatever I would say and hurry up to just satisfy the call rather than diagnose. Can't say that about Ranshaw and Bill. Not only did he listen to everything I said, he was able to diagnose the root cause of the problem, which was just something both of us did not expect. He took his time and ensured that everything was working, testing to make sure there were no further issues with any other portion of the system. The only thing i regret is not calling Ranshaw sooner! Great company, extremely professional, and great service!
Their drivers are terrible. Bus needed the driver to move because it was double parkerd. Went to the back, took things out, and walked away. The guy couldn't care any less about how he held up traffic in the entire block. License plate 22143-MA
