My wife and I finished their Open Water certification class this past weekend. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They were also patient as we struggled with some skills. Highly recommend them for training and equipment.
All I needed was my HPA tank filled since the paintball fields are closed during the winter. They refused to fill my tank after my first visit. I even provided my own fill station. Then they suggested instead of getting my tank filled (costs less than 10), I should buy one of their 200 scuba tanks! So much for customer satisfaction.
I'm just starting into the SCUBA hobby at age 59 and the staff of JAW has already consistently exceeded my expectations. The class and pool sessions to start off my Open Water Dive certification were conducted professionally yet were entertaining at the same time. I bought some equipment and did not feel pressured to make a choice, there was plenty of open/candid discussion and I feel that I got great gear at a good price. I'm looking forward to my dives in February to complete my certification. Then I'll continue to learn specialty certifications to grow my knowledge base. If you are even the least bit interested in SCUBA, I think that you owe it to yourself to stop in and check out this shop.
Unique shop and great staff. Scuba stores are something you want to build a relationship locally. This place has a classroom for getting certified. All the gear you would need. Used and co-signment gear to potentially find a deal. Gear rentals for certification needs as well as trips. They put together trips both somewhat local as well as worldwide.
Clearly the most professional dive shop in the Cleveland area. Great selection and well run.
