My only issue with UNITED CONSUMERS is that they lied to me. I had a small medical debt of 129 that was sent to UNITED CONSUMERS. Exactly a year ago I contacted them and asked if it was possible to have this deleted from my credit reports if I paid it in full. The woman I spoke to said \absolutely we will remove this within 30 days\ in good faith I immediately paid my debt over the phone and waited. It has been a year and the only update to my report is that the collection now says paid. I've tried calling and I either get a voicemail or the call is disconnected each time. I've been working hard to repair my credit and pay my debts, this is the only negative item on my report. UNITED CONSUMERS lied and did not hold up their end of our agreement, I paid and they lied. I understand they are just doing their job and I shouldn't take this personal but this is unethical, a person is only as good as their word. Yes, I had financial problems in the past but I did what I thought was right to fix it and I was let down by UNITED CONSUMERS.

I totally agree with above persons of issues with trying to respond and settle accounts. I've called 5 times in the last 15 min trying to pay on the account. A machine answers and says please hold, you wait, you press designated button to transferred to customer service and it hangs up on. You call again, press to record a message, it records and saves, then hangs up on you. The website does not accept the codes/account numbers listed on the letter. I am responsible for the bill, but no one is there to give support to pay.

Spoke with “Carlos Gomez” he told me to call back with my insurance information and everything would be situated and if there was a balance left due they would call me back. Great customer service from him !!

I was going through a divorce and was not aware of a medical bill (301) that slipped through the cracks (literally by a few months). After being contacted by United Consumer and being made aware of the debt, I paid the debt off immediately. I’m now in the process of trying to purchase a home and was asked by the lender if they would please remove it and they absolutely refused. Yes, it’s my fault the debt slipped through the cracks but now it affects my credit for years...?? That’s just not right! What’s fair about that practice?

I saw they opened an account but wouldn't even pick up the phone when I call. I don't even have the account number. I called the original creditor but they need the account number Edit: Called the numbers you provided but no answer. I'm moving out of the country so ignore my letter at your own loss. I wanted to clear up any issues before I leave the country
