Several years ago my husband and I enrolled our daughter at the Academy. She is more of an introvert, and always has been. The Leadership Academy has been a perfect fit for her. She has always been confident, but now carries herself with more confidence. It has been her 'sport' year round since she was about 10, and she is looking forward to testing for her black belt next month. My daughter often says that the Leadership class is one of the best parts of her days. As a parent, it is very moving to see her evolve at the Leadership Academy. from a child whom the older students, including teens and adults, embraced and mentored to now being one of the mentors. It's a great local business.

My 4-year old has been attending the Leadership Academy for 3 months. The Engels' program teaches strength, kindness, focus and respect. I was immediately impressed after my son's first class. . .3 to 5 year olds were encouraging and helping one another. Mr. Engels teaches in a fun way, but also lets the kids know the difference between right and wrong. There are classes with up to 15 kids and they somehow keep them all in line, which never fails to amaze me :)

For 2 years, we have been taking my now 8 year old son for summer lessons and private lessons during the school year. Initially we felt he needed some activity in which he was interested that may help him develop. The Leadership Academy went way beyond our expectations. Our son had improved not only physically, but also mentally. Mr. Engels has taken a shy, scared, intimidated boy who is now confident, full of pride in his work and skills, and is focused. The transformation has been incredible to observe. I know our son would not be where he is today were it not for The Leadership Academy.

This is a first class school with great people running it and taking classes there. Everyone there was very supportive and giving of their time, talents and knowledge. It was a real privilege to train here (a work relocation is the only reason I left) and get introduced to BJJ. It was life changing for me (and something I plan to keep doing for as long as I'm physically able), I lost 30 pounds, got in great shape and there are several people I met there that I'll always consider friends. Thank you Mr. Engels for the awesome experience.
