Last weekend we walked the path to birdwatch for the Great Backyard Bird Count. We saw about 36 Canada Geese, a red shouldered hawk and 2 bald eagles. One eagle was carrying an animal, larger the a squirrel, in his talons. The other one flew to his nest! It was a really good day!

The best place to go kayaking, see wildlife, take nature photos, hike and enjoy gorgeous sunsets. We recently did the whole walk around the Bashakill as part of the long path and found an old trail. This particular area across the vineyard does get flooded and muddy on both path sides. We came yesterday thinking we would walk the path to the eagle watch but it was completely frozen and unwalkable. You can also order some wine from the Bashakill vineyard and pick it up on your way home.
Pleasent, peaceful. Calm waters.
Very peaceful place to visit, The kill is abundant with Bass, catfish, Bowfin, carp, sunfish pickeral, trout , frogs and snakes, very popular place to spot the bald eagles , and other birds, There are 2 boat launches. Electric motor only. Or by kayak , You can also hike along the kill.
Great day unplugged with the family. Beautiful and relaxing
