I've no idea how this place gets high ratings. I used to have a membership there a few years ago and stopped going because the best instructors were leaving and being replaced with amateurs. I've since gone back there a few times because it's convenient distance-wise rather than having to drive downtown. One teacher sub (lots of subbing here), had not even prepared or had a specific flow in mind and made things up as she went along. I'm not sure if these \yogis\ know much about the reason why the flow of poses is vital to the practice being not only physical but spiritual, but I'd stayed home and done it rather than pay 25 for a drop-in with an instructor who has less experience in the practice than my 7 year old. A seasoned instructor also doesn't turn on Beyonce mid session (I didn't sign up for an R&B yoga). One instructor, with her decades of wisdom in her 20s, said to the class that people experience all kinds of emotions on the mat (very true) and many still leave with emotions of anger, sadness, etc. (False. It means you failed as an intructor to properly engage your class and your students gained nothing from the class). This is supposed to be a relaxing experience with a well-developed flow and a calm environment. They used to have instructors come around and offer to place some amazing oil on your temples and massage it in as you cooled down. Now they have an overly cold towel that hurts your head as an option. The manager doesn't listen to you either. They try to \calm you down\ and thank you for your feedback and then do absolutely nothing about it. It's a lot of money for amateur instructors and very little real yoga and that's evident by the half empty classes. If you're into breaking down into dance to Beyonce rather than learn a spiritual flow of yoga that leaves you feeling happy and accomplished at the end, this place is totally for you.

I am new to yoga and so happy to be practicing at this studio. The instructors are wonderful, patient, and eager to help and share their passion for yoga. The studio is a great environment to practice yoga and I love the variety of classes offered.
