Are you brand new in the U.S. Army? Did you just finish with MEPS? Happen to PCS from another duty station and now coming Kalsu Replacement? Or not entirely sure but your orders say Fort Campbell, come here! You'll in-process in the building as you see in the photos. If it is a normal duty day, any time from 0600 to 1700, you will report in duty uniform. If you come after normal hours, you can show up in tasteful civilian attire. Listen to whatever the Staff Duty tells you regarding your paperwork. However, you'll obviously need your orders bringing you to Fort Campbell, any amendments on your orders, your Leave form (DA Form 31), CAC (Common Access Card) - also known as your military ID, Dental/Medical files, and anything else SD (Staff Duty) will need from you. After you in-process, if you are married, and are not currently residing in a hotel room, you will not get a barracks room. What if you want to get a house but not sure what to do? Here is what you don't do: get a house before talking to anyone because this is how you get screwed. A bad lease, contract, etc. Be sure to go over to the Soldier Support Center (SSC), if you Google it, you won't miss it, TRUST me. You will either find Campbell Crossing or the other Housing office people. Tell your situation and that you just arrived to Campbell but are not in the barracks. They will tell you what to do next and they also can tell you whether that lease is a predatory lease or not. If you are a brand new Soldier, be sure to not forget the basis, such as military custom and courtesies when addressing people with rank. If you been in the military for a little bit, you should know better. All in all, enjoy in-processing and WELCOME to the BEST military installation known to man! HOOAH!

Well, as all other Fort Campbell soldiers, we all have to use this place for a bit of time. Luckily I was married and had an apartment somewhere, so I was able to avoid dealing with any barracks aspects. The staff were helpful and the setup was decent enough. It serves its purpose and that is all we can really ask. I used it back in 2010, so many things could have changed.

The barracks were built before the Korean War and it shows. You get a single wall locker for all the stuff you're moving with. The bathrooms are more like those of a prison, worse than the ones I had in Basic. Make sure to lock everything you have up, otherwise it will get stolen. Only good things about it is that it's temporary and your day ends by 1500.
