I m so grateful to have ran into this last a year, I needed an emergency boarding For my umbrella cockatoo, named Bart. I would love to point out that this is the only place I found that has boarding all year long for your birds. My bird was there for almost two months the first time around just enough time for me to get my own place since I was in between places during that time. Several months later I am forced to put him up boarding in the same place again because my dad had gotten sick from covid-19, he needed help at the house with my mom, he got really really sick and was in the hospital for weeks but fortunately he made it. Unfortunately one of his brothers my uncle wasn't so lucky, and to make matters worse my grandma in mexico passed, all in the same two weeks . I went to Mexico, when I' got back it had been 3 months that Bart had been up boarding, the nice people there not only got him off his bad habits, he rarely screams anymore, they also were very understanding and helpful about my situation through this rough times and we're very generous and kind. Phenomenal owner and loved the availability of bird toys and treats! We are currently evacuated from the hurricane and needed bird seed for our two eclectus parrots. We truly enjoyed the kindness of them. He even offered us a sample bag of organic seed to try out and said he would ship it to us when we got home if they enjoyed it! Our kid's enjoyed looking around and choosing toys for our birds! And they had a BEAUTIFUL & SUPER RARE McCaw in their shop. So precious!
I've known them for years. I bought my babies from them. No health problems! They are the best by far. I've been to other places and the people are horrible and almost kn ow nothing about the birds , just trying to make a buck. Barry and Jamie are knowledgeable and truly care about the birds and the people who adopt them. You can always go to them with an issues you may have and they are so willing to help. I did however drive all the way to New Jersey to adopt my salmon crested cockatoo which is hard to find.. she was willing to help me with her even though I did not get Nola from them. Anyone who has something bad or incorrect to say about their facility needs to go to other shops and you'll see the difference in service and knowledgeable information.
The owners and employees are very knowledgeable about their birds and bird care. The birds at the store are very healthy and treated well. The store has a nice variety of cages, toys, and food to choose from. We got our parrotlet, Stella, from ABC Birds.
This place is so lovely! I went here to look at the birds and ask questions. The people there were super friendly and very knowledgeable!
