While on the phone with a relative staying here for alcohol addiction (he is also bipolar) I noticed he was manic and told him to get some help. In the middle of our conversation, a worker (I think it was a worker unless residents of this hole can kick each other out) came in and began verbally abusing and assaulting my relative. I could hear slapping and shouting with my relative saying, “I’m manic, please help me.” He was told “You’re out! Come back in 28 days.” I realize this is not a mental health facility, but what I heard and the way an individual was treated was vile and disturbing. No wonder the “system” is so broken. Hire people who have respect for humanity.
