I had the pleasure of working with Rafael and his team on several projects this year with our clients, and they are by far the most professional architects I have worked with thus far. We hired this company and Rafael because he made it sound that he would be our advocate through the construction. He wasn't. We were under the impression that he was going to monitor the work and he didn't. When I called because the builder forgot to coffer the ceiling and asked why did he not see it, his answer was that I did not call him, therefore he assumed that there were no issues. Rafael also engineered a cricket that should not be done in New England for high possibility of roof leaks. The plans seem to be very detailed but anytime we had a meeting during the design process and changes, they were not done to our specifications. Some items were left out at the end and caused us to miss things when builder did not deliver. There were no electrical plans at all and this detail caused issues and more money because the builder felt that we asked for too many lights. We got charged for the time the architect came to builder meetings by the hour. Had we known that we would have curtailed the time. His builder recommendation was also an issue. I'm giving 2 stars because we did get a set of plans and we did build a home based on them, but feel that we would have done better going to someone else.
Great to work with, well thought out designs. Have worked with them on a few projects and have been impressed with the creative design solutions they developed.
