Received an email to come in for their job fair. Due to the wrong address listed on their website I ended up at their old address — I’m assuming since it was never clarified. I was then given the correct address per Bree by email. Upon entering, no one was at the front desk to greet you but you could hear a recruiter, who spoke very loudly, trying to give someone else directions to their office — not a good start. Eventually, someone brought me paperwork to fill out then took me into a room to talk. I made it very clear as to what role I was interested in and what I was not interested. I was seeking a CAREER with stability not a 14/hr temp job. Keep in mind, staffing agencies are looking to fill reqs as soon as they come in they do not care what you want, period. If you won’t take what they have they will waste your time while your in their face then disappear. Moving forward, she presented two opportunities available neither what I wanted to pursue; however, they were good clients to get your foot in the door for a temporary assignment. One client in particular I was willing to give a shot; she said she would then send me the Excel test then submit me to both opportunities. She gave me her business card & recited the usual referral spill. It has now been 2-3 weeks later & I have never heard back from them. No feedback/update, NOTHING! My advice is if you just want a job & you don’t care how much or how long, then walk in but if you want a genuine career look elsewhere. Ultimately, I received an offer for the career I wanted with an amazing company & am glad to be ending my time with staffing companies, thank you PrideStaff.
