I get to attend a retreat each year and have been coming to Weber since 2002. Weber Center is one of my favorite places for so many reasons. I refer to this special property (along with countless other women) as Holy Ground. The facility is beautiful inside and out; the staff have hearts to serve and I look forward to seeing many of the same women attending the retreat year after year - which has been meeting here since 1986. I can recommend Weber Center without reservation.

The Lenawee County Emerging Leaders program utilized Weber eight months out of the year, for at least the three years I was involved. Linda, Peg, and the rest of the staff at Weber were extremely helpful. The space was extremely affordable and perfectly set up each time we utilized the Garden and Common rooms.

As a supposedly Christian facility, we reserved it for our gathering hoping for it to be a pleasant experience. We were totally disappointed. When we made an inquiry about using their facility with an estimated number of guests, they immediately asked for a deposit. Thinking we would use the facility anyway, we sent it to them and told them that the number of guests was not yet known, but we would let them know as soon as we had a number. They arbitrarily chose a number that was more than we estimated and told us that since we already paid a deposit, we would have to pay for that number of guests or lose the deposit. We thought it was a simple mistake or misunderstanding and sent them a copy of our message saying that we did not yet confirm a number of guests, but they were adamant about making us pay for rooms that we never even reserved! If you read their contract you will note that it is full of inconsistencies and penalties, fines, fees, etc. They will even charge you a 50 fee if your group prays in their chapel. They also require that you purchase insurance in their name to cover their negligence. No other facility that we ever rented had this kind of requirement. I can only assume that the Dominican Sisters are desperate for money to result to such dishonest business practices.
