Melissa is a good attorney and very good at what she does. She knows the law and is aggressive in court, but make no mistake about it she is still an attorney, meaning she is in it for the money. You will get charged for every second of her and her staffs time. Be aware of the client portal she uses. You are given the impression it is a way for you to keep in touch with her, which it is, however you will be charged for her to read your message and you will be charged her hourly rate for her to respond to it. If you call her office with a question, regardless of what the question is, you will be billed for her or her staffs time to answer it. Your retainer goes fast and WILL be used BEFORE your case gets into court, then you will get a bill saying she needs another lump some to continue the case or she will withdrawal from the case. Let’s be fair here, this is how she earns a living so I’m not saying she should be doing anything for free, she is a good attorney and well, you get what you pay for. All I am saying is she should be more forthcoming and transparent on billing procedures. As far as her skills in the court room or negotiation techniques, she is phenomenal. Other attorneys do fear her and do not want to go up against her and therefore are eager to work out deals, settle and negotiate. She is very personable, good people skills and acts like she genuinely cares about your case. I felt better about my case after hiring her and she always had a way of making me feel better about my case when I got concerned. In the end, we won the case and Melissa absolutely embarrassed the opposing attorney. So I am happy with my representation and her as a person, I just want people who do not know how not just Melissa, but how all attorneys work, NOTHING is on the house or free. She deserves 5 stars for how she handled my case but I gave her 4 just because I felt I should have been better informed on how detailed the billing of her time is (i.e. the client portal).

I had the best experience when she represented me in my case. She was very aggressive. She got me what I asked her for. Super professional. I have recommended her to friends and they have also retained her. Above and beyond my expectations.

On behalf of Cheryl Charles, formerly Cheryl Thompson, she would like to say thanks to Melissa & her team very much for getting me through a very stressful divorce. I am very grateful to have had you in my corner. Melissa & her staff always supported me in anything that I needed without any hesitation. I would like to wish you & your company lots of success & may God bless you all.

Very down to earth and welcoming! I was amazed at how fast my case was presented in front of the judge. Her reputation proceeds her.I would highly recommend Melissa and her team.

Ms Wilson is hands down the best lawyer I ever hired. Not only did she get the results I wanted, but she was respectful of my wishes and steered me in the right direction when my emotions got the better of me. While I was waiting to go into court, I heard the court reporter and a bailiff saying, that if they needed a lawyer, they would hire Melissa Wilson. When the hearing was over, the other side and their supposedly big shot lawyer looked like they had been hit by a train. Best money I ever spent.
